One part of the Primary market is moving much faster than the rest
Not every part of San Diego moves at the same speed. That one fact changes what you should do next, whether you are buying or selling.
Realtor.com reported a national median of 62 days on market for homes sold this week. In ZIP 92117, the Real Estate Data Aggregator counted a median of just 15 days for the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is a big gap.
So what does that mean? If you are buying in 92117, you may have very little time to decide. If you are selling elsewhere, your ZIP code is a different story.
ZIP 92117 by the numbers
Nearly half of all homes in 92117 went under contract within two weeks, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. That share rose 15.1 points from a year before. Sellers there got 100% of their list price on average.
Supply dropped sharply too. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted just 61 homes for sale in 92117, down 33.7% from the same period in 2025. Fewer choices mean buyers have less room to wait.
